How to make VEG Veg Pulau
Material
1 cup basmati rice
Two and a half bowls of boiled hot water
1 cup carrot [cut vertically or horizontally]
1 cup peas
A little less than a loaf of flower pieces [ fine ]
1 capsicum [finely sliced horizontally]
1 onion
1 potato
Half a spoon of ghee
6 to 7 Cashew B
1 green chili
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
Salt to taste
Veg Pulau:
Wash the rice 2 to 3 times with clean water
Put water in it for 10 to 15 minutes and keep it aside
Place the pan/kadai in which you want to make the Veg Pulau on the gas and keep it warm on a low flame
Heat ghee in it
Add bay leaves,
cloves,
pepper
cardamom and saute for 5 to 6 seconds
Then add chopped green chillies,
ginger,
garlic paste and cashew nuts
Drain the watered rice, fry the drained rice for 5 minutes on medium heat till it becomes soft.
After about 5 to 10 minutes, add all the vegetables finely chopped to the desired size and saute
After boiling for 2 to 3 minutes, add boiling water, adding cold water reduces the taste, so preferably add hot water.
Add salt to taste and mix well
Do not cover immediately
When the water in the kadai reduces a little, turn the gas to low flame and cover it
Steam the rice
After 1 to 2 minutes, stir the rice with a separate spoon
Care should be taken that basmati rice does not break or become hard
Cover again and steam for 10 to 15 minutes
Thus VEG Pulau is ready
Finely chopped onion
Finely chopped coriander
lemon
Cashew Nuts [Fried]
Put all these vegetables on top of the Veg Pulau and serve as a garnish
You can eat it with pickle, salad and papad
Note:
You can use as little or as much of the hot spices as you like
You can also add more vegetables as you like
